AX PRO is Hikvision's wireless intruder alarm range. According to Hikvision datasheets, AX PRO hubs use its Tri-X two-way encrypted radio, connect over LAN, Wi-Fi and cellular, and are managed in the Hik-Connect app, with Hik-ProConnect for installers.
| Option | Suits |
|---|---|
| AX PRO 96-zone hub | Homes and businesses needing many wireless zones and camera detectors |
| AX PRO 64-zone hub | Smaller properties and simpler systems |
| Hybrid AX PRO hub | Sites that need wired zones as well as wireless |
| PIRCAM detectors | Motion detectors with a camera for alarm verification |
Video Verification
The main reason people choose AX PRO is its link with Hikvision cameras and PIRCAM detectors. Alarm events can be checked with live view or short clips in the app, and some hubs can pass video verification to a monitoring centre that supports it.
Installation Considerations
- Hikvision sells AX PRO in different radio frequency versions, so detectors must match the hub.
- Plan for signal strength through walls and between buildings.
- Battery backup differs by hub. Some use a built-in lithium battery, the hybrid hub uses a 12V 7Ah battery.
- Check your monitoring company can receive AX PRO signals and video.
Expansion and Support
- Add detectors, sirens, keypads and repeaters by pairing them to the hub.
- Integrate existing Hikvision cameras through Hik-Connect.
- Ask installers about warranty handling and local stock of AX PRO devices.
